    If you want to use images downloaded off the internet you will need a USB drive and the Xbox media app. Insert the USB drive into a PC, download your content then transfer the USB drive to your Xbox. This will allow you to use any image you download onto
    the USB drive to change your dashboard background image in the settings menu. Happy Customizing!

    I'm sorry to hear about your issue, are you sure that the image you are trying to use isn't cropped from a NSFW image?

    Latest Dashboard update is a huge step backwards, i hate it

    with this new update, is your custom background image still "dimmed" like in the prior dashboard? is there an option to adjust the brightness/dimness of your custom background image now?

    If you have a usb that has images on it, you can view the images and while viewing them you have the option to set the image as the dashboard background. Remember, this is only for images, and simply making an image your dashboard background. If this is
    what you want to do, there is nothing wrong with doing so.
