    Are Xbox ones network cards capped?


    I get 1.144gb provided by Virgin Media. I have had the engineer in today to address the issues I'm about to ask about. Everything is good with my out side line. My router in doors shows I get the 1.144Gb. Speed tests from SamKnows speeded test and Speedtest.net also show the speed entering is the same. Yet when I run the same tests on my Xbox one. The maximum I get is 565mb. What is going on. Is the xbox network card capped? Are the servers capped. Can anyone help answer this. Or have a reason for this?

    The servers will typically provide you with a maximum of around 200 Mb per second, which is enough to download your average game in half an hour. Microsoft servers are shared by all Microsoft services, as well as all Microsoft users, and therefore individual bandwidth is capped

    Note that you'll probably never get your ISP's full speed on Xbox or any other device. This is because other devices on your network will consume some of your network's bandwidth, and because your connection speed to the Xbox servers can vary depending on your distance from the server and how many users are active and therefore consuming server bandwidth. Speed tests will display a speed closer to your ISP's rated speed, because they are designed to measure the highest possible speed, this is not representative of actual network usage.

    Is your Xbox connected with WiFi, or Ethernet?

    I would love to get teh trip cap card. But every time we cap all 3 and have people defending each, it seems the entire team spawns at one point and caps it...really frustrating
