Are the more recent Xbox One controllers of better quality?

I really hope they are a lot better then the first gen, I went though six elites before I just gave up on exchanging for another one. I'll send mine back to Xbox for repairs.

Elite controllers are good!! (just pricey) Get the longest extended warranty they offer! BestBuy offers a 3 year for $15 (In Ontario). I'm never buying another without one.

Thanks for the tip! Yeah I'm seriously leaning towards the Elite controllers, plus they come with the adjustable sticks, paddles, etc. I usually buy all of my stuff at Best Buy, so I'm glad we're on the same wave length. I'll see what they offer in Vancouver,
and hopefully its something good.

The Elite controllers are not without issue though, you can get unlucky with the quality of those too. I'd still recommend one, I love mine even though the sticks are way too springy.

I've had many controllers over the years which touch wood have all worked fine but I have to say I currently use a design lab controller which I've had about a year electronically it's fine but the left stick is cracking & starting to split. Generally
the build quality is a little disappointing.

they are making a second version of the elite controller witch pretty sweet but does have a rather large price tag

Hmm had never much problems with the controllers but I think since the 2nd generation the controllers are more high value hardware.

Otherwise buy an elite controller or wait for the release of the new elite controller
