Are the 3D blu rays being played accurately?

I was searching the internet looking to see if there were complaints against the Xbox One S is not having an accurate 3D player.

About a couple years ago I accused The Avengers endgame funeral scene of looking like cardboard cutouts.

I was watching it on an Xbox One S with a PlayStation 3D TV.

Recently I heard complaints about the Xbox One 3D player not playing 3D at all

My case is not a case of the 3D not working. Other scenes looks convincing in 3D. The problem was the first time I seen that film I was willing to be more generous and wasn't nitpicking it to death and I noticed that the poor 3D stuck out like a sore thumb.

I am going to rewatch that scene now and see if I could pick up evidence of what happened before. Maybe was a one-time glitch by the player. Maybe the scene was just filmed that poorly. Maybe the PlayStation 3 3D movie player is better than the Xbox One in terms of 3D accuracy.

I'm planning on comparing that scene back to back player versus player and see if that was a one-time glitch or something systemic of the Xbox one player or whether it was just poor 3D processing.

I played that same scene again and this time it looked right.

Then again I remembered before covid-19 that some of my discs were considered offshore inauthentic copies.

Well I spent the down time during the movie industry legitimizing my bootleg collection, and a couple of them were pretty expensive but the rest were pretty easy, thanks to ZavviUS.

There's one easy way to tell whether a 3D Blu-ray is legitimate or not. If it does not play on an Xbox One S or any other Xbox with 3D Blu-ray capability then you have a bootleg. Always avoid auctions that says "does not work on Xbox machines.". And that is the number one way you could ask if the copy is legitimate without insulting the buyer if it turns out to be legitimate or humiliating him if it doesn't.

I'm getting a bit concerned that maybe the Xbox One WILL NOT play 3d blu ray movies. This article was posted on Cnet being fairly sure it won't:

When I tweeted Xbox Support they have no information at this time (despite telling someone in May it will play 3D blu rays).

Is there an official word on the legitmacy of the Cnet article?

Xbox One supports 3D Blu-ray discs when played on 3D TVs. Try checking whether there are any updates for The Blu-ray player app

The Xbox One does play Blu-Ray and DVD, but keep in mind *3D Blu-Ray's will not work*.

No 3d Blu-ray support at launch. I do believe they will add it in a update at some point like the ps3 did...reviews.cnet.com/.../xbox-one-wont-play-3d-blu-rays-for-now
