Are random people able to join my party on Xbox if it’s on open?

I do understand the urgency of you wanting to find other ways for this issue of yours in regards with random players that can join your party. We are very glad to find some of the best possible options and troubleshooting's that we can provide for you.

Firstly, I would like to ask if you have shared your party link with anyone? If yes, then it is possible that someone has shared your party link with others, and that's how they are joining your party. To avoid this, you can change your party settings to "Invite Only" so that only people you invite can join your party.



If you have not shared your party link with anyone, then it is possible that someone is using a third-party app or website to join your party. In this case, I would recommend that you report the issue to Xbox Live Enforcement. They will investigate the issue and take appropriate action against the user who is joining your party without your permission.



To report the issue, please follow these steps:



1. Go to the Xbox Live Enforcement website.

2. Click on "File a Complaint" and select "Inappropriate Content".

3. Select "Harassment" and provide a detailed description of the issue.

4. Provide any evidence you have, such as screenshots or videos.

5. Submit the complaint.



Additionally, you can also block the users who are joining your party without your permission. To do this, please follow these steps:



1. Go to your Friends list.

2. Select the user you want to block.

3. Select "More" and then select "Block".

4. Confirm that you want to block the user.



For additional information, you can as well try to configure your Privacy Settings for any issues on other players joining your party randomly and you can configure by clicking here on the: Xbox Privacy Settings

I have the same issue. Random people can join but people from my Xbox Live party or friends list can't join my session. Frustrating.

I could accept this answer if I had this issue the entire time but nothing in my network has changed or if I was not able to hear people in parties. This literally started up a week ago and once I get the party invite it is OK. Prior to that I was able
to join open parties no problem but now It does not give me the join party option. I can hear people perfectly fin in Xbox party and some game chat but I am unable to join parties that do not have an invite restriction on them.

This is why I suggest you be careful on who you join parties with. Always watch who you trust. If it is random people dont join the party invite.
