    Are game captures of the Battlefield 2042 beta blocked on Xbox?


    I've tried to capture both game video and screenshots of the beta but keep getting a "Screenshot failed" error message.
    I tried on other games and a pop-up message says "screenshot saved" and another one straight after says "screenshot failed"
    Could it be that me trying to screencap the BF2042 beta is also disabling it in other games and bugging them out?

    Edit: I've tried power cycling my Series X and this also does not fix the issue.

Unfortunately, the Xbox DVR function for Battlefield 2042 was disabled, according to EA's community manager this was unintentional, this was due to issues being caused when recording clips and taking screenshots of the game.     You're welcome and to access the trial simply follow the steps below:

    On your console, open the Store app and search for Battlefield 2042

    Select Battlefield 2042 Xbox One - Choose edition

    Select Battlefield 2042 Xbox One - this should be the first option with no price available

    Select Free Trial with EA Play and then select Install all
