that depends on the country, that rule would not stick in the UK, if you pre order then any warranty or refund period would start when you receive the digital goods.

To answer your question, as long as the game is not yet released, you are entitled to cancel and get a refund. But if you requested a refund after the game was released, that would be up to Microsoft or Xbox Team if they deny or approve your request based on their policy. Generally, all transactions are final and non-refundable.

Only amazon is the exception at 30 days

This is repeated to you after you cancel a pre-order as well as mentioned when you made the pre-order in the first place

If you were charged it gets refunded but may take upto 30 days depending on where you are in the world and your bank sometimes as per the card holder agreement some refunds don't show till the next billing cycle

Once issued refunds are paid out 5-7 business days but anything after that ia yoir bank proccessing time
