As per description, you cannot install any games from your Legion 5 Laptop even if games are downloaded. Let's try to work this together and sort it out to resolve the issue.

For us to understand better on the issue, we will be asking for more details about it.

1. Have you updated the system to the latest version of windows?
   
2. Have you login to your account?
   
3. Have you tried relaunching the games app?

Try to turn off the console, and unplug the power cord, then wait for 1 to 2 minutes to plug it back in and turn on the console!

If the issue persists, I would strongly suggest trying the troubleshooting steps below:

Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear

Then select System > Settings > devices and streaming > blue ray > persistent storage > clear three times > restart console.

If the issue keeps on happening, try to soft reset the console by; Settings > System > Console Info > Reset This Xbox > Reset and Keep my Games and Apps.

Regarding Movies & TV app, will not start states "update in progress" on my Xbox One but there aren't any updates as I checked. Yet this app works on pc. Any help would be appreciated - thanks

Thank you, I will wait. And, yes, there is no option in the app and it seems the settings in the store app didn't reflect on the beta app. Although, you can see the progress of the updated games in the store app as well.
