Apps the normally keep controllers from turning off no longer doing so?

From my experience that's how it is, cause my console acts the same way.

so I usually turn off the control first, then power off the console through the power button.

If you do it the way you're doing it, basically it cuts off the "bind/synced" from the controller and the console.

(This will cause the controller to no longer be "synced" (Temporarily until you resync it by turning on the console and re-binding the control) and will keep it blinking, so you have to remove the batteries.)

my xboxone wont turn on from my control pad. i have to manually power on the console and then hard wire my control pad to get it recognized. it works normally after that. my console also no longer powers on my tv when i turn it on even tho it is set to do
so.

People keep responding that this is a normal function and that is incorrect. Under normal circumstances the controller will shut off to save battery life. The problem people are experiencing is with a headset plugged in.

Up until recently this has not been an issue and the headset seemed to keep the controller on. Seemingly after a recent update this has changed but apparently only in the Prime app.

This is extremely annoying and has been enough to cause me to not even use the prime app so I dont have to deal with it.

***plugging the controller in is not an option as it defeats the purpose of using a headset from across the room

Yes, that is the normal procedure. The only time the console wouldn't power off is if there was a fault with the controller, or when the battery is coming to the end of it's life cycle. When it's life cycle is ending, it may no longer register a full charge,
in which case the console may not turn off.

I would just unplug the Play & Charge from the controller to be 100% sure.

Is your password longer then 16 characters?

If so the 360s do not like passwords longer then 16 characters so change your password to something less then 16 characters.

Another issue would be if you have two step verification turned on if you do turn it off or use your app password.
