Apps asking for access

Hi, I was installing a game from steam called warfare and the prompt that asks for permission to change your device popped up multiple times when installing the game from steam i clicked allow for all of them since i assume they were for the game. I got worried if if they may have not been from the game even though they appeared right when installing it. Would these prompts ever just randomly pop up asking for permission or would you have to be installing something? I ran a scan and it detected no threats. Thanks

Oh, I see. But don't worry if you are trying to download a game on a verified source like steam, they should not contain any viruses at all. And you already scanned it from your PC and found nothing so no need to worry about it.

Yes, that is definitely correct. It will just prompt that security thing because it was through the website but you really do not have anything to worry since your PC did not find anything suspicious through virus scanning.

Thanks for the reply! My worry is if one of the popped up prompts was a virus source or something. They appeared after installing on steam it brought me to the games website and then prompts popped up asking for permission to change device and stuff. I allowed all of them since i assume they’re for the game since that’s what i was downloading is it possible i could’ve installed malaware on accident. I scanned my pc with windows full scan and it said no threats but i’m worried if there is a virus somewhere in there from that

Thanks for the reply again! After installing on steam it redirected me to the owners website of the game and installed the full game from there and that’s when prompts popped up about allowing access but since the game is in the steam store it should be safe correct? Thanks
