Apps and game nonresponsive

Console worked last night, but this morning it says update in progress for every app that I open while showing no system or app updates being downloaded or installed.

Power cycling did not help.

Resetting did not help.

Switching networks and resetting networks did not help.

The machine connects to the internet and says all updates are up to date and seams to work fine. That is until you open an app and then it won’t do anything other than show me a screen saying currently updating.

What the hell is going on?

In this case, our suggestion here, attempt a Soft Factory Rest Xbox Support by selecting the following:
Reset and keep my games & apps. You should use this option as your primary choice when troubleshooting. It will reset the OS and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps.

This sometimes happens/happened to me even before the May update. Sometimes it seems a formerly snapped app or a fullscreen app that's supposed to "sleep" while not running on the main screen doesn't sleep or end correctly, taking up processor resources
it shouldn't, making the dashboard unresponsive.

I resolved that every time by going to the console and holding the Xbox Logo sensor button for about 10 seconds. Check that the LED on your power brick turns orange. Wait about 30 seconds and turn the console on. It should now work again as expected.

That has resolved it for now. We'll see if it's stable.

This sounds like the touch sensor(s) on your faceplate are nonresponsive.

Which style of Xbox 360 console do you have?

This problem is still happening. after equiping the bomb in the pocket, selecting with the LB, the RB to use/aim the bomb is nonresponsive. (also got stuck at the first corpse, the left stick (walk) stopped responding.)

I saw on other forums people saying to download to HD to fix it, but mine is already downloaded and this glitch in the tutorial is still there. Exited out to dashboard, started all over and then it worked. very frustrating, nothing like a bug in the tutorial
to make you feel stupid trying to execute a simple move.
