AppHangB1 error with game Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge

That's because it's outdated

You need an older .pc or.command and conquer remastered

You have to address it with EA

Westwood studios is dead and wont come back to maintain it

Back then those games used creative labs drivers and basic gpu nowadays the game will see the cpu and accelerate the game beyond what you can see

Because the games aren't made for.modern processors or gpus

As they were designed pre gpu era of computing

We used 3d accelerators

If you buy the more recent addition you can use the updated drivers etc

CnC remastered

It's pretty cheap even

THere are websites thatyou can get advice om compatibility settings but know.that using ancient games on modern computers.have.issues due to incompatibility of being designed before modern systems we use now.like gpus or integrated sound cards (back.then it was creative labs soundblaster 16.compatible only with other various vendors)

Now you will.have.to look up .compatibility settings in various forums

You are better off with remastered or.CnC online which is free to play

DLC is terrible as it is now, back when PC was dominate they were called expansion packs, and it was basically half a game that ran with the last games engine, added to the story usually and did a lot more, they sold for about $25~$35, but they were packed
with content.

example I use is red alert 2 yuri's revenge, it added a new race with it's own units ( Yuri) then it had 2 brand new campaigns and added united to the 2 other sides as well... they also added some multiplayer maps iirc. it was almost a new game. this is
when "DLC" was worth the money. but now, its like 4 maps for $15...

another huge issue is the value in games now is crap. skyrim, you have an epic world with 100s of hours of gameplay I put well over 140 hours into the game, epic value

now take fable 2 and 3, you can beat the game in 1-2 days, and other then " do it again" there isn't much else to do really.

you can say the same about mass effect, once you beat the game + the side missions there isn't much left, I did all the ME3 side and story missions in about 33 hours, why should I spend $60 for only 33 hours of entertainment, when I can spend like $15 a
month for netflix and get hundreds of hours of entertainment.
