App and profile not connected. App not working.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble connecting your Xbox app to your profile. No worries, I will do my best to help you sort this out.

This issue may be caused by a corrupted app cache or a network problem. I would highly suggest to trying the following steps to fix the issue.

1. Make sure that you're signed in to the Xbox app and Microsoft Store App with the same Microsoft account that you used to purchase the Game Pass for PC. Then Restart your device. This is a basic step, but it can often resolve many issues.

2. Update Windows. Press the Start button on the taskbar, type settings, and then select Settings. On Windows 10, select Update & Security. On Windows 11, select Windows Update.
On the Windows Update page, select Check for updates to see if any updates are available for your device. After the updates have downloaded, select Install now to start the installation.
Following installation, we recommend that you restart your device so that the latest updates can take effect.



3. Update the Xbox and Gaming Services apps. Press the Start button on the taskbar, type store, and open the Microsoft Store app.
Select Library. Under Updates & downloads, check if there are any updates available for the Xbox app or Gaming Services app.
If an update is available, select Update.



4. If the issue persists, try resetting the Xbox app by going to Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Xbox > Advanced options > Reset.

Under the Reset section, click on Repair and wait for the process to finish. If that doesn't work, you can also try Reset, but this will delete your app data and settings.



5. Open the Xbox app and go to Settings > General > Network. Check if there are any errors or warnings under the Network status section. If there are, follow the instructions to troubleshoot them.

A corrupted profile may cause for the Xbox app not to work properly. Here is the link on how to troubleshoot Xbox app server

Don't forget to let us know how it turns out.

the apps work differently on each cosnole, just like they work differently on your pc or phone.

i would suggest clearing out the cache if you dont use cloud saves, deleteing and redownloading the apps, and even redownloading your profile. maybe even testing your connection. there could be a lot of issues behing the apps loading slowly

try signing out of the app and back in, and make sure your console settings allow you to connect to the console via the app. Also double check the ip, you may have to re enter it for things to work properly again. Make sure that you are signed in with
the same profile in the app and on the console.

Solved the Problem.

1) deinstalled the app

2) I changed the setting on xbox under device connections to "not accept any connection" and rebooted it

3) I changed the setting on xbox under device connections to "accept connections and also checked the two checkboxes" and rebooted it

4) I installed the app again and logged in using my profile.

-> voila, works again and xbox could be found in app.
