It is possible you are using integrated graphics instead of your Nvidia card. Check the Nvidia control panel to see what preferred graphics processor is set and change to the 1070 if needed.

Please, check if these services are running.

Press the Windows Button then type Services.

Right-click over the Services App from the list of results.

Then select Run as Administrator

Scroll to the bottom and find the following services:

IP Helper

Xbox Live Auth Manager,

Xbox Live Game Save,

Xbox Live Networking Service,

Gaming Services.

Do this with each of the services listed above.

Right-click over the service and select Properties.

Find the Startup type section and make sure it’s set to Automatic.

If the service isn’t started, click Start to start the services.

Click Apply and OK to save changes.

Restart your PC and try again.

Thankfully, that's got us somewhere in the right direction. I signed in with another Microsoft account I have, but before doing that, I tried resetting the Xbox app itself. While still signed into the main account, I launched the game, and got this at the title screen:





It then loads to a greeting page, asking to switch account or start the game. Sadly, the same Load Failed thing happens despite choosing different accounts in this prompt.





Annoyingly I've found that the sign-in prompt hasn't appeared since, and it just sends me straight to the Load Failed screen after pressing Enter. I've reset the Forza app, and both Xbox apps to be sure, and tried disconnecting from the internet again, but neither made any difference.

Again, thanks again for the suggestions so far.

I tried that, and found that offline permissions were already enabled, but I turned them off and on again to be sure. Booted the game while online, same problem, and the same happened when unplugging the ethernet cable, and booting it again.

I have an Xbox account signed into the Xbox application, linked to the same Microsoft account that I bought the game with, and use as my user on this PC. I don't pay an Xbox Live subscription and I've never had an Xbox Live account, but I'm not sure why that would have much of an effect.

Something tells me this isn't going to work somehow... Is there some kind of log file I can try and find a cause within? I've tried looking in Event Viewer but nothing seems to be in there regarding the game itself.

To be honest, I feel bad about the fact I might be wasting your time trying to troubleshoot a blind error.
