Anyone with the digital version playing multiplayer online now?

I've got the disc pre-ordered with a 11PPM Central time pick-up at my Best Buy. But I've got friends who have the digital download and they're playing multiplayer now. Anyone here in the same situation and if so what time zone are you in?

If the MP servers are up I'll cancel my order and go with the digital download.

XboxOne Minecraft LAN multiplayer has stopped?

we can no longer join multiple devices when playing Minecraft on our Xbox1 using our local area network (not trying to play online). We could play with multiple iPhones along with our console a few months ago. Now it says our Xbox Live privacy settings prevent
multiplayer. I don’t know why it says XboxLive version (we never bought that version. We got the digital Xbox1version that came loaded on our Minecraft version of the Xbox1S).

1. can we no longer play multiplayer on LAN with this version?

2. Do we have to sign in to Xboxlive and invite other singed-in “friends”?

Do you have the physical copy or the digital version of the game?

Are you getting any error messages?

Is your device connected to a wired or a wireless network?

Are you experiencing issues with playing other online multiplayer games as well?

I got digital and was playing multiplayer at 1 minute past midnight.

I had no trouble getting in a game and matchmaking was very fast

As long as online multiplayer is available for the game, then yes you can. The marketplace does say that a lot of games don't have multiplayer, but it's a misprint. They play the same as the disc version so if there is online for the disc version, there
is online for the downloaded version.

Xbox Live Gold is ONLY required for playing online Multiplayer, participating in parties and getting and playing the free Games with Gold games.

If you purchased a game digitally, you can download that without a Gold membership. You'll just be unable to play the online multiplayer part (if the game has online Multiplayer).

The box and digital version says on the back or description of the digital content gold membership is required for online play

Yes you can. the marketplace says that a lot of games have no online multiplayer, but since the games play the same as they do if they were the disc version, as long as there is online for the disc version then there is online for the games on demand version
too.
