Anyone recieve an email about a purchase they didn’t make?

Thank you! I haven’t pre ordered any game in fact I took all my PayPal/banking info off of my account just because I was worried my son would be on there buying all sorts of things I will check the link you provided just to make sure. Thanks!

With regards to your issue, do you remember having any transaction in the past such as a pre-ordered game for Xbox? Normally for pre-ordered games you will only get charged 10 days before the release date of the game.

I suggest to also double check via https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders page to see if there are any transactions made. But if you don't see or remember having one, I highly advise to ignore the email and change your password in case you have clicked on any link included on the email.

This is just to make sure it is not a phishing email you have received and to secure your account as well.

It shows no purchases in the last 3 months it’s just awfully strange how the email came from Microsoft and also has links that take me to the Microsoft page

my sister did i checked payment information on xbox and a random credit card was attached to it that no one knows who it is and she requested a refund sounds like a new scam

Thanks for the update! Do you see on the email what is the name of the order placed?

Only thing I can think of if this is legitimate from Microsoft is if you have associated your email address on a different account. You may receive notification that way if the other account ever made a purchase.

But if no order number is showing via the link I provided earlier, then rest assures you will not be charged on that account.
