Anyone know how to invite friends to play/test user created races?

I've been toying around with this awesome content creator, and wondered if there is a way to just invite friends into a private "testing" race to get feedback from them before making tweaks?

Can't invite friends to play Minecraft

My son and his friend are connected on XBox Live. His friend can invite him to play in his Minecraft world but my son can't invite his friend to play in his Minecraft world. The option for game invite is grayed out. I've checked all privacy/content settings
and all are set to Friends. Anyone know how we can enable my son to be able to invite his friend to play?

 

PES 2018 (12th Sept 17)

Anyone know how to setup the online co op? Was trying to get a game going with a friend and couldn't work out how to pair us up. Could only see option to create a clan but then it only seems to allow you to invite randoms you have played against. Both of us created a clan but neither could find each other when searching. the help section is terrible and doesn't give proper instructions on how it all should work. Bought it digitally so is there a manual somewhere online?

 

Start up the race, put it to <closed> so no one can join, invite said friends, and start.

Afterwards just go back into the creator and make the tweaks.

Just in case, to start the race: pause>online>jobs>host>my jobs>races>

 

So, do I start the race from within the creator, or do I exit out and do it from the main Online menu?
