Anyone know a fix to getting the 0x87e0000f error on pc game pass?

Sorry to hear about what happened. I know how frustrating that must be. I would feel the same way if I were on your situation.

The other steps we could try is to turn off your realt-time protection temporarily.
Select Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security and then Virus & threat protection > Manage settings. (In early versions of Windows 10, select Virus & threat protection > Virus & threat protection settings.)
Switch the Real-time protection setting to Off and choose Yes to verify.
Download again your game.

To further isolate the issue, try to download a different game.
Have you already tried to reinstall the Gaming Services app?

Still unusable for me. After months. I cancelled my game pass because of the situation. So disappointing. I guess I'll give my hard earned money to someone else.

Dude this happened to me trying to download the new Starfield patch this month!! People are acting like I'm crazy. I've tried everything! I purposely didn't buy Starfield on steam because I was a longtime Xbox player and have Gamepass Ultimate. I've almost beat the game and now I cant even install a patch to play it and I've tried everything, no solution has worked.... Please tell me one of you guys have found a solid solution method cause it seems Xbox and Microsoft have no idea about their own software issues or how to fix them. If I can't resolve this soon I'm just gonna cancel my membership and will be buying all games from Steam from now on. Lesson learned. Atleast they're software works correctly and if it doesn't they actually help you

This just started for me 3 days ago. I have tried every fix I can find. Because I only use my pc for games (which it is unable to do at all now I guess)
I re installed my entire OS re did all my gaming/video drivers made sure all updates were completed, I have followed several youtube tutorials to no avail and just spend many hours surfing the web trying to find anything that might help and finding this fix just now I tried it. nothing worked, I can't download any games, all of my games just got an update rendering them completely unusable. leaving me unable to use any games I have brought and paid for, all games cannot be updated due to this 0x87e0000f error.
No new games can be installed (I have tried 11 total of various different sizes)
I just want to use my game machine for games, I can't help but feel terribly let down and frustrated given the amount of money I have put into game pass ultimate (going back almost a decade with its predecessor xbox gold)
not to mention the large number of games I have purchased unrelated to the subscription pass. at this point we are talking about thousands of dollars' worth of brought and paid for content which seems to have evaporated literally overnight. Please find a fix for this, this is quite ridiculous.

I also have been dealing with this for the past 10 days or so. It started trying to download a starfield patch, which failed, then when I tried to reinstall the game it also gave 0x87e0000f. That has continued to be the case for me since then on all of my computers. I have tried literally every solution on google, reinstalling windows, and spoke to multiple xbox support people who lied to me and said they had a workaround then would just hang up the call. This is personally a deal breaker for me with respect to xbox software/products going forward given how unbelievably simple the problem is, and how useless their support team has been. Under no circumstance should downloading a game be this difficult, nor should it take weeks to find or push a fix. In case you are wondering, cancelling and removing game pass had no effect on whether or not I could download games that I actually own a license for. Ridiculous is an understatement.
