    Anyone having issues with the Xbox Accessories app crashing


    I am not sure if this is specific to Alpha Skip-Ahead (2602.251203-2200)

    Can you open Settings > Devices & Connections > Controllers & Headsets? The app crashes to black screen for me and I get sent back to Home. I also cannot open Xbox Accessories directly.

    I keep getting pop-ups that my elite series 2 controller needs an update. When I click Update, I get the Xbox Accessories splash screen. But then I get a black screen, kicked from apps and games, and sent back to Home.

    I also tried updating the controller on my PC with the Xbox Accessories app, but that seems to be on version /u/w8_st8

    Hi, i have been having this same issue and tried doing a system restore while jeeping games and apps along with all the other steps outlined... the Xbox accessories app continues to crash and not let me button my my elite controller

    Does it only crash when you're trying to update the Elite controller? Are you able to check if the controller has a firmware update, first? Or does the app not let you even get that far?

    Another thing I might try is if you have a Windows 10 PC, see if you have the same result on Windows 10 with the Xbox Accessories app.

    Let us know and we can figure out the next best steps.

    Elite controller

    Hey all,

    I've been having issues with the Xbox Accessories app in regard to the elite controller. The controller works fine but the app does not work at all. It keeps going to an update needed for the app and there isn't an update needed at all. Tried doing everything
    xbox support said to do on the website with resetting the firmware update and factory reset and nothing works...took my xbox back to gamestop for warranty and the next xbox is doing the same thing.

    It HAS TO BE an application issue with the Xbox Accessories app or something wrong with Xbox updates.

    Anyone else having this issue?
