    Anyone having inconsistent input lag on Xbox Series x?


    I’m having this issue where sometimes my inputs are

    delayed for like 0.3 second, inputs not registering

    sensitivity going slower than usual and overall

    inconsistency, The issue comes and goes.

    I have a 1ms monitor and I’ve tried multiple others

    Input lag persist.

    While for rendering this is slightly less frequent but

    sometimes the same game in the same spot would

    Render slower than before or after.

    I have two different internet connections in my home

    and both have this issue.

    I’ve also tried Xbox one controller didn’t change

    Anything.

    If you don’t play a game we’re it requires you to be

    accurate you might not get what I’m saying.

    XBOX Series X input lag and latency

    I have an LG OLED EVO G1 series TV, LG claims the response time in the game mode is 10ms.

    I also have a PS5 both are connected directly to the TV.

    The Xbox series X input lag is noticeable when compared to the PS5.



    I don’t know if this is still true but Xbox used to have a feature called input lag compensation which basically penalizes you for having a good connection. That may be okay in an Xbox only lobby, but in a cross play forget it.

    What is a good TV for the Xbox One?

    So far I've heard the E-Series is pretty good with input lag (especially the non-smart tv versions). The M-Series is still unclear. I've seen claims of 40-42ms from testing.

    I've also followed a few threads on the AVS forums and one guy has a XO and says the input lag is no problem with his M-Series.

    Sony TV's have the best input lag but then your looking at a jump in price as well.

    Since you've already gone through the troubleshooting steps and the controller is only 2 days old you have two option. You can either check with the retailer for a possible exchange/refund, or get in touch with the customer support for further assistance. If you happened to purchase the game from the Microsoft store then you will need to get in touch with the online team and they'll take in charge.

    If you happened to go with the online team option you can access Contact us | Xbox Support, follow the instructions after clicking on the green button "Contact us" and choose to get help either from an online chat agent or request a callback. Make sure the region on the support website is set to your correct region in order not to find issues with the steps.

    Hey,

    I have the same problem.. the XSX feels like it’s processing a second slower than what’s going on around in competitive games. I feel like display lag is my next option to look into. Have you found any thing to help? Do you play on monitor or tv? Like you said. Not what I paid for. It’s like Xbox is a entertainment system not a gaming system. Bummed out.
