Anyone have any luck purchasing a USB 3.0 Hub to connect additional external hard drives to...

Hopefully someone out there can answer this question, I have 2 external hard drives hooked up to my Xbox One X with a third sitting downstairs with nothing to do except wait due to the fact I have no additional USB hubs available to connect it to.

I have spent hours looking into trying to find a solution for this online via simply googling the issue or even by attempting to purchase additional hubs via Amazon etc. but due to negative reviews of the product I don't want to get burned by buying
something which isn't even likely to be successful, therefore I am hoping someone in the community has found a product or know of a direct link to a device which will cater to my requirements.

Thanks to everyone for taking the time to read this and hopefully be able to provide support or answers, I very much appreciate it!!

    :)

How do I get more storage on my xbox one?

Buy an external hard drive with the following:

    • It uses a USB 3.0 connection. If you’re using a USB hub, the hub must also be USB 3.0 or later.
    • It has 256 GB or larger storage capacity.
    • It has a partition. Typically, drives come with a preformatted partition. For more information about partitioning an external hard drive, refer to the manufacturer’s instructions.

    Xbox one external storage options?

Hi DSad777. My name is Kyle and I'm an independent advisor.

You can purchase an external hard drive to store games and apps on.

For an external storage drive to save games and apps from Xbox, it must meet the following requirements:

    - USB 3.0 connection. If you're using a USB hub, the hub must also be USB 3.0 or later.

    - 128 GB or larger storage capacity.

    - A partition. Typically, drives come with a preformatted partition. For more info about partitioning an external hard drive, refer to the manufacturer's instructions.

Manufacturers such as Seagate and Western Digital sell external drives specifically for Xbox consoles, but any USB hard drive that meets the above requirements should be compatible.

Please reach back if you have further questions.

    Thanks,
    Kyle

Anyone have any luck purchasing a USB 3.0 Hub to connect additional external hard drives to their Xbox One X?

Why do you need a hub how much memory are you trying to add. Best buy has quite a few reasonable ones. I will provide a lil info to one that is specifically for Xbox one. Its a seagate made for Xbox and its 8Gb. It works well and I use it This model is
at Best Buy its about 160 bucks Seagate - Game Drive Hub for Xbox Officially Licensed 8TB External USB 3.0 Desktop Hard Drive - White

Also heres another option then s is just a hub from Amazon so if you have the external drive plug it in the hub etc. There are other options but when you push something over 20 Gb they start to become these huge things and not portable. Just use the Amazon
long as its 3.0 it will work with your other external drives. I need a little more info like how much memory are you trying to use. They have portable external drives of 5Gb each 4 of those in a good hub will give you 20 or 25 gb.. Price gets pretty outrageous
for an Xbox when you push over 25Gb of storage. be different if it was memory we were talking about but we are talking about storage..

Powered USB 3.0 Hub 7-Port, BYEASY USB Hub 3.0 and 3.1 Type C Hub, USB Splitters with Power Adapter, 3.3 ft Long Cable and BC 1.2 Charging Port for iMac, MacBook Pro/Air, Mac Pro, PS4, PC, Laptop. Hope this helps. I would go with the Seagate in my
opinion. 8 Gb should be sufficient. There are ones with higher GB however those get plenty expensive. All depends on how much you require. I dont think you will fill up 8 GB too fast. Let me know if this helps.

500gb Xbox only showing 27% free after installing two games

In theory any external hard drive that meets the specs below should work and allow you to play games from them. I personally chose a Western Digital USB powered hard drive.

It uses a USB 3.0 connection. If you’re using a USB hub, the hub must also be USB 3.0 or later.

It has 256 GB or larger storage capacity.

It has a partition. Typically, drives come with a preformatted partition. For more information about partitioning an external hard drive, refer to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Using a external hard drive on xbox one

I also am using a 3.0 usb hub that should allow a proper connection from the external hard drive to the console so that the console recognizes it as a drive for storing games.
