    Anyone Experiencing Input Lag with Dolby Vision on LG TVs?


    Curious if there’s anyone running an LG B7a with DV and experiencing input lag. Last week I was playing Halo Reach with DV game mode on and was experiencing horrendous lag. I found out that I was running outdated LG firmware (4.50ish). I updated to current firmware is 6.00.25, and it seems like the firmware update fixed the issue. However, after playing Halo 3, I go back and forth between thinking lag has been/not been fixed. Halo 3 might not be the best game to use because I recall that game being a bit “swim-ey.”

    Dolby Vision gaming Xbox series X

    It's not an issue that requires resolving. It's just a simple reminder that Dolby Vision increases input lag. If it feels like the input lag is unbearable, just disable Dolby Vision for Gaming in the video modes menu.

    Samsung makes a great TV but no support for Dolby Vision. Made it easy to buy an LG C7 OLED Dolby Vision 55"

    Have you tried turning Dolby vision off on your TV then turning the TV off, taking the power out and turning it back on and re-engaging the Dolby vision ?

    (Not sure if that can be done on an LG, it can on my Sony)

    I figured it out just in case if anyone has this issue with any LG CX and maybe GX model. If your Xbox is saying Dolby Vision is not supported on your CX. Go into the settings and Turn off AMD Freesync in the TV settings. This setting comes turned on by
    default and make the XBOX say your TV does not support Dolby Vision.

    Yes, please bring Dolby Vision support to the Xbox 4k Blu-ray player! I have a vast collection of 4k Blu-Rays and a tv that supports Dolby Vision (LG C9).
