    Anyone else having issues with game capture not detecting microphone input?


    I’ve gone into settings and ensured that:

    -> Volume party chat output goes to headset and speakers.

    -> Allow broadcasts and game captures and mic on is selected. The volume is set to 5 and game volume set to 5. (Which ive toggled….manually changed the volume of game audio..in game)

    -> Capture location is an external 1TB Samsung Pro with plenty of space.

    -> I’ve deleted existing clips both from the xbox, external drive, and xbox live cloud. Read somewhere there might be some bug.

    -> Power cycled the console



    What’s really weird is I can record and send a message to one of my friends and there’s no problem. Xbox detects the microphone no problem.What is weird though is that if I play the message back it won’t come back through the TV and only headphones. Not
    sure if that’s related…

    Game DVR capture and upload issues since latest update

    I'm having issues with Game DVR since the latest update. It is not capturing or uploading some captures. I say "XBOX record that" and it says that it records it and then tells me that the upload failed. I then go into my captures and it only captures some
    videos, but not most of them. There is a blank space where the capture would be, but without any content. I have only had this problem since the latest update. Is anyone else having this problem? Another issue is when I select the Game DVR icon it automatically
    opens it in a Snap window. I want it to go to the fullscreen window automatically.

    Is anyone else having these issues? Can you help? Has Microsoft acknowledged these issues?

    Xbox One Captures not loading

    I haven't tried to view my captures in over a month, however for the past 3 days I've not been able to see them. Whichever route I take to get to the captures screen, the only thing which shows is the loading circle, either for Xbox
    Live or On this Xbox selected.

    Anyone else having issues seeing their captures?

    Voice Recording Help

    You will need a separate microphone as you stated. But there should be a setting in the capture software to record both the game input and the voiceover at the same time, you just have to set the microphone input.

    Hi Christopher,

    Unfortunately the PC is detecting the mic and the input it is just the 'xbox game bar' app that is not detecting the microphone rather than the PC, as other apps and windows itself that is recieving the microphone input. Sadly none of the guidance here or elsewhere on the web has helped yet and I'm still stuck for a solution,

    Mircrophone for Xbox One

    A USB Microphone that is going to be used with the Xbox One will require a USB port for power and then the 3.5mm jack to plug into the remote for actual audio capture.

    Now if they make a USB plug and play microphone anyone else can feel free to interject but I personally don't know of any USB only mics for the X1. Sorry I misunderstood your first post.

    Okay, I just discovered an issue:

    The Xbox Stereo Headset's microphone does NOT work when connected via a USB hub, even if it's the only device attached to the USB hub. The microphone is detected, but it does not detect any sound in the volume meter.

    As soon as I plug my Xbox One controller directly into the Surface Pro 2, the microphone immediately detects sound.

    It depends on the type of your streaming Microphone.

    If it's an USB microphone, then no.

    If the Microphone has an analogue connector (e.g. 3.5mm jack), you could use a headphone/microphone to CTIA adapter, and plug your Astro into the headphone plug and your streamer microphone to the microphone plug, and then plug the CTIA adapter into the
    controller.

    Alternatively, if you use a third party streaming software and are screen capturing from your PC, you can start the Party through the Xbox App on your PC, and stream the game to a capture card on your PC. Then you can mix the game audio from the captured
    console with your party sound (if your streaming software allows such a mix), and then stream that from your capturing PC to your streaming platform.
