Anyone else have such serious problems with the xbox controllers?

I wanted to like the xbox controllers and in fact bought THREE custom-colored ones in college. They're totally customized.

Except they don't work with the computer at all.

I've tried everything- updating windows features, software, even downloading a windows xbox application from the MS store to update the controller.

1. Bluetooth? Does. Not. Work. Is that just me?? Nothing I do can possibly make this function on any controller I have. I feel like I spent 80$ on a waste. On three of them. I'm like one of the few xbox holdouts in my group of friends which is sad but I mean I'm about to go buy a dualshock controller, like for god's sake at least it can connect......

Anyone else have serious struggles with connecting it via bluetooth? And trust me I tried everything- keeping batteries in, while having it plugged in, updating the software as I said. It just does. not. work... It has never ever been detected. Except for like one older one I used but it would disconnect itself frequently and this was 4 years ago.

2. What. Is. Going. On. With. The. USB. Cable. On two different of these expensive **** fancy custom-made xbox controllers if the USB cable twitches it will disconnect. Usually if you push it down. I mean that can happen just shaking the wires. For god's sake. This is just such a pain. i'm sure you can imagine why.

Just please tell me what works and does not work. It's just crazy that these custom-bought controllers can't perform basic functions. I can't use wireless with or without batteries. I can't use USB. So **** is it for then?

If I need to just buy a dualshock controller and it works flawlessly for you because you found yourself in the same position, hell, if I need a working controller I'll do it.
