Anyone else get overcharged for Assassins Creed Liberation?

This is more of a rant, I had bought AC Liberation during the $4.99 sale, but then saw I was charged the full price. I talked to customer service and she said "rest assured you will receive your refund". Well, after waiting and not getting any more info
I decide to call back. This time, I'm first told "there's no option to give you a refund". After being put on hold twice, looking up the price to see it's actually $4.99 and told "I don't know why the first person told you that", she finally says she's gonna
just refund me.

That's great and all, but why the hell do customer service reps either flat out lie, or seem to know nothing at all about what an xbox even is.

Hey mate, in future when someone tells you information like that, especially in the instance of a refund, you should be asking for a reference number so the next person you talk to can look up the incident and continue to assist you where you left off with
the last person.

I will admit though, I have been treated like an idiot by the staff at phone support when I've fully known what I needed, explaining it to them was half the battle.

Yea, I did use the reference #, that's why the second representative said the first wasn't doing their job right. It's definitely frustrating. Im sure if someone is lucky enough to get a customer service rep who knows their job it's smooth sailing. It just
makes one wonder what's going on with the hiring process. Anyway, thank you for the link, thats always helpful.

I didn't get overcharged, but I noticed the price changing on the first day of the sale. I posted about it here.

Liberation was the only game of the entire Ubisoft sale that didn't have the correct store price when I was signed in, for at least the first two hours. It had the 75% off listed on the dash, in the Sales and Specials section, but the dash ain't the store,
and thankfully I always read the purchase confirmation REALLY carefully before I buy, as I've been burned before when I've rushed through a purchase. {XD

Started playing Liberation today. So far, I'd say it's probs one of the best Arcade titles out there. IMHO

 

^It is definitely one of the better ones, especially for a spin off from a main franchise. I thought it would be a very, very watered down version of the main games, but it practical is the same as the main games, just a smaller version!

Also when you actually unlock the vodooish assassin robes and hood, oh man I was in love!

 

I pretty much wore that all the time once I unlocked it.

 

Looking forward to seeing that then. I was just glad to see the hood was an option, and that the outfit/colouring variations were persistent through cutscenes. lol

The persona game mechanic is a nifty bit of fun, and I like Aveline as a protagonist, even if she does look exactly like Sheva from Resident Evil 5, and Mercedes from Dragons Dogma, and Niln from Remember Me... the green eyed lighter skinned black woman.
What's with that?

Anyhoo, she lacks the consistent FAIL of Connor in ACIII. Who is, without question, and comparing every assassin from every game:

Worst. Assassin. Ever.

 

If I booted up the game, she would still be in those robes. The face paint is awesome addition to the outfit too!

 

I liked the Pirate Black outfit with the Alligator Hunter hat. The voodoo garb was cool and all, but me thinks when an assassin is wandering around, usually at the best of times it's hard to suspend disbelief and accept that nobody is freaking out around
them... but with a skull painted on a face... lol

 

I wasn't overcharged or anything, so it must have been an error only for you. Glad they fixed the problem. Anyways, I didn't like Liberation that much. I encountered so many glitches, and the story was pretty lame imo. But the glitches messed me up on some
missions, where people I had to kill didn't even show up and npc's walking in circles and then ending up elsewhere if I moved. Certainly the most glitched AC game I ever played. But I did have some fun with it. And for $5, you can't go wrong I guess.

 

^^ I didn't encounter anything like that. That's why I recommend it. It's a well polished Arcade game. I had one instance where I dropped between two trees and was stuck in a falling animation, forced to reload the memory checkpoint. But I had that happen
in ACIII too, and that's a full blown triple A title.

Also, actually, I think the Aveline in the furs was the best outfit. During the Connor mission. She looked pretty cool. Or... looked warm. But cool. Also warm.

 

I actually like to think that people don't freak about out the assassins because they know they don't just randomly kill innocent people and your enemies pretty much do recognise you quick smart as the assassin no matter what, so it didn't really break any
role playing I was doing. =p

The assassin is the unofficially hero like the Batman, I mean you're kind of scared of him, but you know he's good.

Also just to comment that I had no glitches what so ever and ACIII was way more broken then this arcade game in my opinion.
