Anybody got Battlescreen working on Win8.1 Smartglass?

Hi all,

I'm currently trying to get Battlescreen to work (you know, the Smartglass app of BF4 where you can see the entire map) but it doesn't seem to be working. I got "Browser not supported" when opening it on my desktop. I got no issues with using Smartglass
apps of Dead Rising en Ryse, so its bound to be something else.

When using the normal browser to go to battlelog and then smartscreen i get the message that i need to download Smartglass. When using a link i got from one of my pc buddies i get the message that it can't connect.

So, who's using Windows 8.1 on a desktop or laptop with the Xbox One Smartglass app and has succesfully used Battlescreen with their Xbox One?

Anyway, as I was trying to post, he wants to use the BF4 Battlescreen app, for Commander mode. But EA/Dice only created iOS/android versions of it. Fortunately for me, I can use them on my Nexus 7, but I really wanted to use my Sony Win8.1 hybrid instead.

 

SmartGlass companion hangs..

SmartGlass companion hangs at "Loading Battlescreen" on Windows 8.1 x64.

Though the app can connect to XO and start the game, when I'm on Conquest it just hangs at "Loading Battlescreen...".

Did anyone else have this problem and knows how to fix it?

 

hmm....no it don't work worth a damn on XB1....can't get squat on either my iphone or my tablet....on a related note, on my PS4, using my PS Vita for the same thing works just fine

 

Same here, it works intermittently, but nothing stable at all.

 

I talked on the phone with EA about the issue. Supposedly it is currently completely incompatible with the Operating System. I'm also trying to figure out if this fix is in the works or being ignored.

What's bad is the advertisement for battlscreen on the smartglass app in game. When your press select there is blatant false advertisement in the bottom right corner for it.

 

Incompatible? Hows that? Or do they mean they haven't made it IE11 compatible?

 

I'm having the same problem using smartglass on my win 8.1 desktop it connects to xbone and can use the app but just can't use it as a companion for battlefield 4.

I had it working on my android tablet but it is only a 7inch screen so wanted to use my 22inch HD desktop monitor but I keep getting browser not supported, I have all the latest browsers with all updates chrome ie Firefox but nothing will work! Is they a
fix in the works?

It did work once for me and was working great but since that 1 time it has not worked again, you think they would sort this out considering that Xbox and windows are both Microsoft it should work on windows 8.1 better than any where

 

I don't even have an option to even try an get it working. Can someone point me in the correct general direction please and I'll see if it works for me
