Any way to fix disk rot

so I found my old copy of battlfield 4 when I put the disk in the Xbox it said it may be dirty or damaged so I took it out and cleaned it and I noticed these brown spots on the backside of the disk is there anyway to fix it.

We were playing MW3 and the xbox was making a weird rattling sound, just like it was kind of settling, so my brother tried to turn the xbox on its side to help settle it. it started making really loud rattling noises, so he turned it off. when we take
out MW3, there is a huge groove along the whole disk, and it is now unreadable. I know my brother probably shouldn't have moved it while it was on, but since it happened while in the xbox, can we get a replacement or anything? we would be willing to pay
a bit of money, but we're just seeing we could get it for less than a new game, or find a way to refinish it. if there is a way, where would I go?

yep if you got disk insurance from your local game store contact them

your local gamestore may be able to resurface it



if not you may contact activision and ask about their disc replacement program and pay the fee of 20bucks

 

You may want to check with any local game stores to see if they have a disc cleaning service that might take care of that. Otherwise, I haven't heard of anything myself.

 

If it is disc rot there is no stopping it.
