I usually have plenty of credit in my MS account for when I want to either pre-order games, or just buy them there and then.

But after a misunderstanding the other day, I was informed by somebody here, that if you pay partly by account balance, and partly by credit card/paypal, that payment gets taken about 10 days before a game releases.

I hadn't ever realised this, and so wondered how do I check which pre-orders I had enough money to cover, and which are still pending payment close to release date?

I have Fallen Order on pre-order and can't recall if I had enough balance that covered it at the time, and looking at my MS account, there is no way to tell if payment as been made or not? Surely there is a way to check that? Cheers

https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders/ I can see if the payment was ok???

You'll be notified via email when they make the charge. In addition, you can check orders that are "In Progress" vs "Complete" on your
Microsoft Account page, under Payments & Billing > Order History

Hi Steve,

When you pre-order a game if you used a credit/debit card or paypal it will not be billed until about 10 days before it is released, and you should get a reminder email about the transaction. Now if you have a microsoft balance it will usually be an immediate
transaction.
