Any suggestions for Xbox that won’t run games??

My Xbox Series X wasn’t turning on, I sent it in under warranty and it came back. It turns on now but no game other than one runs. All other games start and then there’s static fuzzy on the screen and throws me out to the start page or it just goes blank. I’ve reset, I’ve unplugged for 5 minutes, I’ve restarted, I’ve deleted the games and redownloaded then, nothing is working.

Please try the following steps one at a time to resolve the issue:

Solution 1: Do a power cycle to clear the cache of the console

1. Turn off the Xbox console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.

2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

Important Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

3. Plug the console power cable back in.

4, Press the Xbox button on your console to turn on the Xbox console.

Solution 2: Please check if there is a pending system update that needs to be installed.

Make sure your console is connected to the internet, and then press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select System > Settings.

Select System > Updates & downloads.

Under "Updates", you'll see: Console update available. Select this button to begin your update,

Solution 3: If there is an external hard drive connected, it is possible that it is corrupted, try turning off your console then disconnect it, turn it on without it, and try playing any games and see if it works.

Solution 4: Do a factory reset

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select System > Settings > System > Console info.

3. Select Reset console.

4. Reset and keep my games & apps.

On the matter of the console overheating, buy a new fan for it, run a fan in it's direction. Also, go somewhere to see if it actually does need repair, just in case. Mister Beep pretty much said the rest.

Sorry to hear about the heat issues! I would keep the option for a repair open if you have tried the steps in our
screen freeze troubleshooter. Is the freezing issue happening across multiple games and apps?
