    As with anything mechanical and electrical, things can and will go wrong.

    Just glad it didn't cause anything bigger.

    As you have opened the console, there is not a lot that can be done. By opening it up you have invalidated any warranty you may of had, or any out of warranty repair that could have been offered.

    Wow!!! That is definitely not normal, reach out to MS Tech Support right away to setup a repair ticket!!

    Wasn,t hot had only just switched it on and dont play very much in a clean home no dust in side just started smoking there was the home xbox screen on the tv when i switched it off unplged it quick

    Did some digging into this online, most of the cases it looks like there was a short on the mother board which in turned burned the power unit...
