Any idea what this is? Strange circle mark appears on Xbox one x.

Got my xbox one x back in February and I live alone and never noticed this mark before... I went to clean and noticed it after playing RDR2 for a bit. Any ideas? Heat mark? Normal plastic manufacturing mark? Looks like a perfect circle.. Thanks.

Does anyone else's system leave lines/marks on game discs?

I have a PS3, PS4, Xbox One. I have noticed particularly after purchasing a brand new game, that after playing it, little marks/lines on the bottom of the discs, I thought it was just one system, but after much testing I found it that all my systems do it. They are not scratches because they wipe off. I'm just trying to figure out what it is and what may be causing it. It doesn't seem consistent either. Sometimes I will put in a game and get no marks, other times it will. So strange.

 

Black home screen after boot

i have a strange problem. My Xbox one boots and then it logs in and I see the prompt that's says Hello Azwar then blank screen.

I can hold down the x button on the controller and the options to shut down the controller and console appear so I am getting a displaY of sorts.

Tried the fix suggested, holding down the power button for 10'secomds and poweing up again.

Same issue. Any ideas?

 

I should add that this is only visible with certain angles of light.

 

Looks like a mark of a drinking glass. Did you put something on it? May be another device such as Amazon echo, google home etc!

 

Yeah that's the strange part. It's in a entertainment center that can be closed but open when I'm using it. So I know that myself I have never placed anything on top of it like every other console i've owned...

Unless someone broke in and did it while I was gone for a week on vacation.. :/

 

Hi, that mark is exactly in line with the cooling fan and heatsink inside the Xbox, my Scorpio edition has the same mark and it’s due purely to heat.

I noticed this too since playing RDR2 along with my X also making more fan noise than with any other game.

 

Looks like a tight fit in your entertainment centre. You may well need better airflow, as the sides are where the air is drawn in.

 

That's good to know thank you! I couldn't help but wonder if it was heat related due to the fact I never noticed it til after RDR2.

My X actually never made a noise til RDR2 like you said as well. Crazy to think a game could change the appearance of my console. Lol

 

Yeah, it rests in there, but when in use, its pulled out into the open.

 

I was going to say it looks like the center of the fan. Thats pretty odd. Now I feel like I have to see if mine has the same issue.

 

Yeah, I've had this X for awhile and clean it often. I only noticed this after playing RDR2 for a few days.

 

Plz. ensure that there is enough room for the hot air to vent from back of the console and there is also air circulating in the cabinet where the xbox rests. You can also explore AV cabinet fans from AC Infinity.
