Yes it is a good choice, and with the new features you will have months and months of gameplay with the season change and the new public events, they will add them all the weeks.

Both Tomb Raider games are good,Witcher 3 is a brilliant action/rpg.

There's also Warframe which is free & worth a go once you get used to the controls.

Shenmue and Shenmue II come out in a couple of days. I'm gonna give them a playthrough. They are pretty old school if that's your thing.

I think Forza Horizon 4 is gonna be awesome! My main recommendation to you, though, is to check out Xbox Game Pass! It's $10/month, so basically 6 months for the same price as a $59.99 game, and you get access to a ton of awesome

My son was in the same boat. He wanted to take a break from Fortnite so he bought Battlefront 2. It’s on sale for €10. Worth it just to play the campaign and see the graphics.

 

Halo 5 or dead by daylight, both fun games and not much cost in getting either

 

Depends on what franchise you like. Personally upcoming games I am super excited for is Shadow Of The Tomb Raider, Fallout 76 and Red Dead Redemption 2

 

Any specific genre? If you are looking for other racing games I'd also recommend games like Burnout Revenge and Onrush. Some other must haves imo would be Witcher 3, Master Chief Collection, Gears of War and Rare Replay.
