As for Rum, without going too high dollar, I like Bacardi Gold. As for Burbon, most recently I was working on a small bottle of Makers Mark. Good stuff. I used to get a bottle of Glennfiddich (12 year old, single malt Scotch) once in a while but haven't
had any of that in a couple of years. I'll buy a 5th of something and, generally speaking, it'll last me for three months. I'm more a of a beer guy with the occasional hard stuff/mixed drinks. At my age I don't drink enough to get fall down, sloppy drunk anymore.
I quit that a long time ago.

By the way, I go to a rural area of Tennessee every year. My wife and I are from TN. We have family there and we also own 14 acres. Anyway, we often bring back a big mason jar full of moonshine. There are some folks in that area who make outstanding shine!
Last time I brought back a nice jug of peach shine.
