    Any game I download from the xbox store, which are play anywhere games, won't let me play...


    It seems any game I try to play through xbox play anywhere won't let me play online. I've tried the Microsoft store version of minecraft as well as sea of thieves and both of them will open and I can play single player, but both of them won't connect to
    online. I've tried opening all the ports needed, as well as making sure my firewall wasn't blocking them, but nothing is seeming to help. Any help if possible would be appreciated.

    I imagine you'll have xbox live gold hired. if so, try restarting your console and router

    Hi,

    The Game Pass games need to be downloaded from the dedicated App.

    Only the 'Play Anywhere' titles can be downloaded from the Windows Store. Metro isn't a Play Anywhere title, which is why you can't download from there.

    If you got it from Xbox store then you won't need the disc. This applies to Xbox 360 as well if you have any games you bought from the Xbox store you can play without disc and play anywhere
