    Any fix for a very corrupted XBOX 360 S?


    So I decided to try again, and here's the problem:

    Multiple things are corrupted, such as:

    -1 System file

    -Saves (not needed)

    -(Probably) some profiles

    -Games (not needed)

    And because of these corrupted stuff, it's running bad, I can't update Xbox Live, and I saw a video on using a USB to automatically make it update the moment it starts, but it failed. I can't even format it, last time it almost worked, but I clicked cancel, and now it won't let me format, it just says "format complete".

    And (again), every time I open it, it'll ask to update Xbox Live. But fails.

    Connection is stable, it's just Xbox Live, but I'm running on game disks only. So if you need me to delete anything, it's good.

    Have you tried removing the power cord, leaving it for a short while and then trying the format again? The power cycle might allow the format to go through again.

    Hi there,

    The 360 will allow an
    external storage device     to be connected to it. Have you tried saving your maps and such to an external drive to see if the 360's hard drive is going bad, or if the machine itself is corrupting the files. If the machine is corrupting the files, time to replace
    it. If it's just the 360's drive corrupting them you can try looking for a new 360 drive.

    WPAK's tips are solid. If there are any corrupt items on your Xbox 360's HDD, this could cause issues with downloading content, which includes profiles. Following up with clearing the system cache is always a great follow up step, especially after clearing
    any corrupt files.
