From the transition FAQ:

What about my current Xbox Live Rewards Credits and MyVIP Gems balance?

If you have any pending Rewards Credits in your Xbox Live Rewards account on May 31, 2018, or if you are expecting your MyVIP deposit for purchases made in May 2018, Xbox Live Rewards will convert them into your local currency and deposit them in your Microsoft
account by the end of June 2018. You will then have 1 year to spend that currency on digital items from the Microsoft Store.

This also applies to any pending Credits when you opted out of the program.

you don't get a code if you purchased from the microsoft store, it will be in your purchase history or download history to download to your computer, it has to be downloaded from the account that made the purchase.

If you purchased that from the Microsoft store, you wouldn't need a code to redeem!

Try to sign in to the store and try to download it from there.

Unfortunately not, you'd have to purchase or download the game from the Microsoft store.

you download from within the microsoft store, either search the game or go to purchase history/download history.
