Another groove music pass issue

took up the groove music offer of 4 months for free, broke down as a 1 month trial and a further 3 months free via promo code by email. 1 month trial nearly up no promo code, just automatic renewal email. Been on chat, no luck, and told to post on here.
Just like a number of other people on here.

Buy one month of Groove Music Pass, and the next three months are on the house.

I responded to an email from Microsoft on 7/13/2016, signed up for a 30 day Groove Music Pass subscription on the promise by Microsoft for a 90 day Groove Music Pass access. A promo code has never been received. I was passed from one chat support representative
to another to another to another and then after spending 30 minutes was sent here. Maybe this will get resolved soon.

Their email stated "Rev up your summer soundtrack with 3 free months (90 days) of music.* Just sign up for Groove Music Pass, and after your first paid month ($9.99), we'll email you a promo code for your bonus months (as always, you can cancel anytime).
But hurry - this deal won't last forever."

Credit for Unredeemed XBOX/Groove Music Pass

I bought an XBOX/Groove Music Pass and haven’t redeemed it yet. I understand that I need to ask for a credit because it is no longer redeemable online.

Couple clarification questions for you! Where did you come across the offer you are referring to? Was it on an Xbox One console or was it via the website? And to confirm, you signed up for a trial, not a paid month, correct? When did you sign up for that
month?

Can I still download all my purchased music?

No. When Microsoft announced the discontinuation of the Groove Music Pass streaming service on October 2, 2017, we notified customers that purchased music would be available to download until December 31, 2017. Unfortunately, that window
has now passed. If you've already downloaded your music and want to listen on a PC, you can do that by uploading your purchased music to OneDrive. If you don’t use OneDrive (or another cloud storage service), you can also transfer your purchased music from
one of your devices to another device for your own personal, non-commercial use.

What’s happening to Groove Music on iOS and Android?

As of June 1, 2018, the Groove Music iOS and Android apps are no longer available for download from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. On December 1, 2018, the Groove Music iOS and Android apps will be retired.
After that date the apps won’t work and should be uninstalled.

On December 31, 2017, the option to stream, purchase, and download music from Groove Music was discontinued. If your purchased music was downloaded, you’ll still be able to listen to it.

When Microsoft announced the discontinuation of the Groove Music Pass streaming service on October 2, 2017, they notified customers that Groove Music Pass content would be available to move to Spotify until January 31, 2018. Unfortunately, that window has now passed.

Hi Florian,

Thanks for coming to the forums with your questions. Have you checked Spotify to see if your music is there also? When all this occurred some music was moved to spotify. You can view the entire guide here for

Groove music and spotify.

All the music that had a match in Spotify’s catalog now appears in your Spotify library and playlists. All your purchased or uploaded non-Groove Music Pass music will remain untouched in the Windows 10 and Xbox Groove Music apps. Music you own and
that is stored locally on your hard drive or on OneDrive is untouched and will continue to be playable from your local hard drive through the Windows 10 and Xbox Groove Music apps.
