    I've been waiting quite awhile for my free 3 month e-mail to come so I went in search of answers and first checked the forums at answers.microsoft.com and found a thread similar to the ones posted here of users not getting their e-mail but no ms rep responded
    to the thread so I added my experience and moved onto live chat support, this rep found a link to the promo but didn't have much answers but did at least direct me here. Reading others posts it looks like everyone is getting the run around especially if they
    didn't sign up to the promo through their xbox, luckily for me i did on exactly August 5th from what my confirmation e-mail says, so I expect an answer to whats going on here, very shady practices....

    I responded to an email from Microsoft on 7/13/2016, signed up for a 30 day Groove Music Pass subscription on the promise by Microsoft for a 90 day Groove Music Pass access. A promo code has never been received. I was passed from one chat support representative
    to another to another to another and then after spending 30 minutes was sent here. Maybe this will get resolved soon.

    Their email stated "Rev up your summer soundtrack with 3 free months (90 days) of music.* Just sign up for Groove Music Pass, and after your first paid month ($9.99), we'll email you a promo code for your bonus months (as always, you can cancel anytime).
    But hurry - this deal won't last forever."

    Yeah, its the fact you get directed to the Groove support page by tech support staff , including the staff on here - but there doesn't seem to be any contact or support for Groove. Clicking on the Contact Us section gets you into a live chat with a Windows
    10 tech, and they don't know what's going on with Groove.

    Incredibly poor show in my opinion.

    I was looking to sign up with a streaming service for a while. I was going to go with Spotify, but noticed the promotion on the Xbox One dash and that's why I signed up. Dubious business practices to advertise something free and not follow through with it.

  5. Exact same situation as mine, i personally have enjoyed spotifys free offerings and was considering a sub to use the phone and and other stuff but with the addition of xbox background music and the well placed timing of this supposed offer for groove I gave
    them a go but from all the people that seemed to have been duped by this offer its left a rather bad taste in my mouth and if there isn't a reasonable resolution to this issue I will be contacting the proper channels to report this deception and recommend
    everyone else who was taken for a ride by microsoft to contact the better business bureau or office of consumer affairs whichever is your correct office for your country, if it comes down to it because its our responsibility to make sure these types of deceptions
    (if that is the actual case here, not sure as of yet) are reported correctly to help others not become victims and to not let companies no matter how big get away with it. Again I hope I'm wrong in this matter but I've seen crazier things happen.
