Annoying new Minecraft update that makes writing in books and signs frustrating

Before 1.19 you could properly write and such in books and signs. However due to a new update it’s physically impossible to write in books and signs due to Microsoft’s update of their text. Now the text screen covers your entire screen and show lines 1 and only and you have to change lines which is extremely frustrating and annoying. Not only that but the new system for typing they put in place makes it so it takes forever to type literally anything and going back to edit a book or sign is futile. Please change this back! It wasn’t broken so don’t “fix” something that’s not broke. If anyone could tell me why this change happened and when it can be reverted please let me know because now I literally have to use my computer to go into my Xbox world to type a freaking sign just because of a stupid change which negatively impacts everyone. Does anyone else have this problem and is just as frustrated about this as I am?

I was trying to type out some commands and found it extremely annoying because before it was much more easy to type now it takes any longer to get everything right because of this stupid update, Microsoft is always changing and adding features no one asks for 🤦‍♂️

Anyone know if there’s a way to fix this?

Yeah headsets work fine on Minecraft. They might update it later so that you can write in the books. It's just a rumor, but it would be a great way to introduce people to your world. Just leave it by the spawn point.

It's good but there really is a different feel to the writing with the new author.

As a Bedrock player who uses the on-screen keyboard with controller, this update even hurts me. All of the aforementioned problems included, and I can't even see whether what I'm writing fits on the page in my book and quill. I use this book and quill in survival to record coordinates and this makes reformatting and retyping so much harder for no reason. No one asked for a new type of keyboard, there should at least be a toggle to bring the useful one back.

As long as Karpshyn keep writing ME books I trust that he will do a good job. I could also wait for him to finish his book and start writing another. Every new ME game that comes out the less and less Karpshyn is involved. That might be why ME2 suffured.
