Animated minecraft bedrock skin from the character creator doesn't show up on servers

If you see the default skin in-game refresh by logging out and back in. If everyone's skins show as the default, the server may be running in offline mode

Another reason could be that you have to disable the option to only allow trusted skins in the server settings, on the profile section

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I understand that you're having issues changing the skin of your character in Minecraft. If Minecraft doesn't recognize your skin, then go to the main Minecraft Settings page, find the General tab, and make sure "Only Allow Trusted Skins" is toggled off.

Here is how to equip new items to your character in the dressing room.

Note: The Dressing Room is exclusive to Minecraft: Bedrock Edition.

How to use the Dressing Room in Minecraft

Character creator items

If you are looking to add character creator items to your Minecraft character, follow these steps:

Start Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. 

Select Dressing Room. 

Select the character slot you want to edit or a new one. 

Select Edit Character. 

Open the Body or Style tab. 

Find the item in the proper section. 

Click Equip.

How to equip classic skins in Minecraft: Bedrock Edition

If you instead want to use a classic skin from something you purchased in the Marketplace, do the following:

Start Minecraft: Bedrock Edition.

Select Dressing Room.

Select the character slot you want to change the skin of or a new one.

Select Edit Character.

Select Classic Skins on the left bar.

Browse through and select the skin you want to use.

Click Equip.

Note: Classic skins cannot be customized with character creator items.

If you're still experiencing issues, go into the game settings, log out of your Minecraft account, and then log back in to resync your account.

Please know that this is a public forum, and I am not in a position to enter your account, examine it, or make any changes from within. Like you, I am a regular user who likes to help.

I’m sorry you went through all that effort to make your custom skin, only for it not to show up on Xbox. I’ve dealt with this before, too, and it can be so frustrating.

The reason you can’t use your uploaded skin on Xbox is that custom skin uploads are only supported on Minecraft for Windows and mobile (Bedrock Edition). Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch versions are more restricted due to platform policies. Even if your accounts are synced, Xbox won’t carry over or display those custom .png skins, instead, it just defaults to a random look from the Character Creator.

Turning off “Trusted Skins Only” helps for seeing friends’ skins, but it doesn’t override the Xbox’s limits on what can be used locally.

If you want to wear a custom-looking skin on Xbox, the only workaround is to recreate your design using the in-game Character Creator, or find a similar design through the Minecraft Marketplace.

We understand that you are having issue with Minecraft Bedrock for Xbox. As per description, you are unable to import new skin. Let us check on this together and sort this out to assist your concern.

First let's try these steps.

1. Launch Minecraft: Bedrock Edition and press the "Profile" button on the main menu.
   
2. At the profile menu, change to the character model you want to apply the skin to.
   
3. Select "Edit Character" in the bottom-left of the profile menu.
   
4. Once inside the Character Creator, players can select downloaded skins or download new ones. ...
   
5. Select "Import" and then navigate to the skin's .PNG file.
