And what happen with the achievements?

What happen now with the achievements we still don't have? Like "100 level". Are you going to change them like in Project Spark for get them easily? :/

What the Hell Happen?

Ok, let start off by saying that I really had hopes this game was the little train that could. I like games, I don't believe this game is better than that game. I think they all go for diff. experiences for individuals. With that said, This looks nothing
like what I've been shown through the PR campaign. Seriously, some of the issues the games have are not as simple as we'll fix it based on feed back, they're not simple flip a switch. Game development doesn't work that way sadly. Some of the issues may be
too late fix. Not only that, some of the fixes will call for other part of the game to suffer. Frame rate, texture resolution, destruction being minimized etc....., something will take a hit. I know that at the game development level of people they try to
put out the best possible experience that they can for the community. I think in this case EA PR screwed the developers by presenting a game that does not measure up to what will actually ship. I give props to the guys at DICE. They generally do good work.

OH yeah the reason why I believe that they chose this level as the beta is because it most closely appeals to the call of duty fan. PR needs to market BattleField as BattleField and build an audience as oppose to we have to steal this audience. I just don't
see it happening this time around. Not based on the ours I put in.

I hope they do that. But from what I'm seeing they think they can't. Clearly they haven't seen that other games did it (Project Spark, Beach buggy racing & Killer Instinct).

They said they aren't able to update them once they go live, which is a load of ***.

 

Yeah, they really need to change some of them, especially Peak Performance. It's not physically safe for most players to attempt 100km of jumping in less than a year.

 

I don't see how they can say it isn't possible to change achievements once they're "live". This was one of the features MS spoke about during the initial reveal of the Xbox One and a feature that has been used for "live" achievements in both Killer Instinct
and Project Spark.

Come on Xbox Fitness, reduce the requirements so we don't kill ourselves before you kill the servers!

 

Here are some specifics on how they could handle changing achievements, as Project Spark did. I'm almost certain they can change achievements after the fact, from a technical standpoint.

The trick is to make alternate unlocks that match the counter of the original achievement.
Project Spark did this to nerf many achievements. For example Hit Maker was 50,000 downloads. Now it's 50,000 downloads or "14 hours" of playing Community Games. But I believe a more accurate description would be "50,000 seconds" of Community
Games. 14 hours = 50,400 seconds. The devs could change the achievement counter to count both downloads and seconds played, and still have the achievement pop at 50,000 regardless.

I'm guessing Peak Performance is measured in meters or decimeters. So it should be possible to change the achievement to "Jump 100km or earn 100,000 / 1,000,000 Fit Points." Or perhaps just workout for 100,000 / 1,000,000 seconds.

 

I hope we will keet the achivements we earned so far, even after they kill the servers.
