Thank you for responding. Yes, in order to perform a power cycle, you will need to properly shutoff the console by holding down the power button. If you continue to experience crashing issues with Fortnite, you can always try

reinstalling the game by doing the following:

1. From Home, select My games & apps, and then select
   See all.
2. When you’ve highlighted something to uninstall, press the Menu button on your controller.
   
3. Select Manage game & add-ons, then Uninstall all.

I turned it off at the power source for 5 minutes then turned back on and launched fortnite it worked after not launching for 2 days! Hope you get it sorted 😊
