    Analog stick drift on Design Lab controller


    The controller sometimes doesn't register any upwards movements, or just gets stuck between up and down on the left analog stick. After looking up the issue, it appears that many other people have had the same issue with the newer controllers made for the series x/s. Is there anyway to fix it, or will this controller have to take a visit to the bin? (Controller doesn't have warranty anymore as it is over a year old)

    I made it on the xbox design lab and order of there , the problem thatci have is in games like first person shooters the remote will starting drifting in game when im not moving the analog stick

    Have you tried to use the Xbox Accessories thumbstick recalibration tool?

    To open the Xbox Accessories app on your console, press the Xbox button to open the guide, then under Profile & system, select Settings > Devices & connections > Controllers & headsets.

    Before you recalibrate your controller, check to see if there’s a firmware update available for your controller. If there is, update your controller before you recalibrate.

    Select Recalibration options.

    Select the specific thumbstick you want to recalibrate (left or right).

    Follow the on-screen instructions to perform the recalibration.

    Xbox 360 controller - Bring it back!

    I find it a bit funny that people look back on the 360 controller so fondly. Sure I didn't have any that just stopped working completely but I did have 2 with broken mic jacks and a bunch with drifting analog sticks.

    The early 360 white controllers were good but they cheeped out later on and produced junk analog sticks that would only last a few months before they would start drifting.

    I'm fine with the X1 controller but the analog sticks seem to still be prone to drifting. They need to beef the analog sticks up but I don't see that happening it's a way for them to sell more controllers.

    Not happening to me. Sounds like your controller's analog stick is drifting. Do you have another controller to test with?

    Sounds like your analog sticks are drifting. I went through a lot of controllers on 360 with that problem.
