It's a paradox in which the only true cure is to remove both perks.I think Amplify should just be toned down so you actually have to concentrate to hear footsteps,As it is now,I use a home theater and if i have Amplify on it sounds like somebody is stomping
around my house in work boots,To me that's just too much.Of course you can counter it by walking around crouched everywhere,Imagine a game where everyone does that?I think Amplify would'nt be such a problem if it was 50% less audible.As for dog,I'm used to
it now and Oracle is not a problem as long as you're not sat in one spot,Just gotta keep on the move.

Dead Silence isn't supposed to counter Amplify.

The text for Dead Silence says 'Players with Amplify can still hears your footsteps'.

So it got nerfed huh? Didn't know that, I stopped playing this game for about 6 months so I don't know what any of the updates did.

It used to be a great perk for soundwhoring, now it seems abit crap.

I've been telling people since the game came out, if you use dead silence or even just walk cautiously you can sneak up on amplify users. Maybe by now people are figuring out sounds ..... or lack of sound from different surfaces, etc.
