    Among Us sign-in won't work.


    Good morning everyone! (AEST timezone) Right now I am trying to sign in to Among Us (congrats on the Airship launch!) with my Xbox account. However, no matter how many attempts I try it just won't work and I am presented with the Among Us error code XboxUserAddError. I was also presented with this screenshot:

    I do not know what these words mean, and I clicked on 'More info' and I did everything Bing told me to do, but it won't work. Can someone help me or at least relate to this? Thanks.

    Among Us was downloaded from the Microsoft Store for Windows 10, btw.

    Even though the permission settings go up to 17, double-check that your child's account is set to the correct age (13 or older) to access online features.

    Manage Parental Controls:
    Review parental controls on both your PC and Microsoft account (if applicable) to ensure they aren't blocking online gaming features.

    Temporarily disable parental controls to see if it resolves the issue.

    Address Game Updates:
    Make sure you have the latest version of Among Us installed.

    Check for updates within the game or through the platform you're using (Steam, Epic Games Store, etc.).

    Clear Cache and Data:

    Try clearing the game's cache and data. The process varies depending on the platform:

    Steam: Right-click Among Us in your library, select "Properties," go to the "Local Files" tab, and click "Verify Integrity of Game Files."

    Epic Games Store: Go to "Settings," click "Manage Games," locate Among Us, and click the three dots to find "Verify."

    Hello @Noël Thakur, I hope everything is going well!

    Thank you for reaching Microsoft Xbox Forum support!

    I would like you to go through the following steps to clear the Mac address and then perform a quick power cycle on your console:

    Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

    After going through the troubleshooting steps mentioned, I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 2 to 3 minutes, re-plug them back again, then restart your console.

    In case the issue still persists, the next step would be to perform a reset on the console. To do so you will need to follow the steps below to perform a reset on the Xbox:

    Settings > System > Console Info > Reset This Xbox > Reset and Keep my Games and Apps.

    Note =>The "Reset and Keep my Games and Apps" option will not cause losing your games, but please be aware that you need to be completely aware of the email address as well as the password of your account before going for it because it will require you to sign in to the account.
