Among us on PC not letting me play online.

i couldnt play minecraft servers because of this - Run.{Invalid}

Great, thanks! I thought I had tried all settings back and forth but apparently not.

It's terribly confusing all the different but similar ways of configuring in different places. Makes you feel stupid (especially when you are working in computer science).

It would have been nice if the original error message had been accompanied with a button "Ask you parents to change the settings" generating an email to the parents briefly describing what minimum change that is needed and a button to get you there.

To change your child's privacy settings, please make sure you have added them to the Microsoft family page here: Microsoft Family Safety

After you have done this, please sign into your account here: https://account.xbox.com/settings

You will see your child's account listed there too, where you can customize their privacy settings.

This happens when you are listed as a child or are using an account which is a child account. Please can you see if you are part of a family here: Microsoft Family Safety

If you are, and are listed as a child, then please leave the family group if you can. Note, you will need to be of legal age in your country of residence before you are able to leave the family group. If you are not, then the option to leave will not work for you. You will then need to ask for your parents/family organiser to change your privacy settings and allow you to play the game.

Let's try some steps to isolate the issue. Kindly check if you have any pending updates using this link https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo... or select Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update , and then select Check for updates.

If there's nothing pending, please open the Xbox app. In My Library, select the game title. Select the More options (…) button and choose Manage. Select Files and then Verify and repair.
