    AMD GPU crashes always.


    I have hp pavilion 15 laptop. With i7 8th gen processor integrated UHD intel 620 and AMD R7 m440 as seperate/discrete GPU. Basically when i tried installing the newest drivers and ones said to be most stable but it crashes games on startup. Almost every game. Task manager use is usually 0 but when stress tested it work fine from task manager. I tried DDU installs. Also i tried installing driver only but then game wouldnt even load at times. Almost none of the game work at this point. I tried disabling the AMD gpu and running it on the intel card then ofcourse it run perfectly fine. I tried various stuff like trying pro editions of the adrenaline software no help at all. Some help would be god send at this point. Also i tried fresh windows installing still no luck. thanks in advance.

    AMD GPU crashes always.

    So basically I play valorant alot. So at first I thought maybe it was issue with the game so i installed couple more to check the issue out. Like batman Arkham Knight, prototype, GTA IV, prototype 2. Every game freezes and crashes on startup and sometimes in the menu of the game. Valorant issues a message saying driver has crashed.

    I have repaired and still repair hp laptops among all other manufacturer types too, this is all too common with HP. Have you by chance upgraded to windows 11, if so, go back to windows 10 as a lot of hp drivers are simply not ready or outright do not work with windows 11 properly.

    if that fails then either the paste on the gpu is dry and cracking or the gpu is failing, also a common issue on these laptops.

    Well actually im still on windows 10. I haven't tried 11. Also yes i had the laptop serviced from technician last week so i had the thermal paste renewed too. It was very dried out as well.

    What type of gpu do you have
    AMD Radeon Pro 5500M on my MacBook Pro 2019 encountering the same problem. All works well until it crashes some minutes in.
