Amazon Prime Video on XBOX Series S --- continuuous resolution changing

Since you can stream HD and 4K just fine through other streaming services, I believe the issue has to be with the Amazon Prime Video app itself.

Try reinstalling to see if it corrects the issue. If it doesn't I would recommend getting in touch with their support for further investigation!

Amazon Instant Video shows any films purchased through Amazon and any Amazon Prime content.

Xbox doesn't have a Prime App, rather Xbox Video which only shows films and shows purchased through Xbox Store.

If films/shows purchased from Amazon aren't showing in Amazon Instant Video app you will need to contact Amazon Customer Support to verify your purchases.

Remember, Amazon Prime content changes so they remove films/shows periodically and add new ones. Amazon Instant Video purchases remain all the time.

I checked the list and have done all they have listed. I have reset the router, factory reset the box, uninstalled and reinstalled the Amazon Prime video.

I have spent 5 hours with amazon support and 2 hours with Xbox support. I have an Xbox One and Xbox One X that have the same problem with Amazon Prime Video.

I can go into Prime Video, select a video, the video will play, I hear the audio but have a black screen.

I have tried the Xbox on two T.V.s. I tried the Amazon Prime Video on the Xbox 360 and it works.

Amazon Prime Video is worked up until 10 days ago. And is the only video app not working correctly.

Something in general is going on and not sure who's to blame. I'm getting a LOT of buffering lately with Netflix. I was going to watch Jack Reacher. Then noticed it was on Amazon Prime Video and watched it there for free in perfect 1080p resolution.

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I understand that you're having issues playing titles from Amazon Prime video app due to device limit error.

According to Primevideo troubleshooting guide, Amazon Prime members can watch Prime Video on a total of five devices, including two TVs. Post sign up, the first five devices you watch Prime Video content on becomes the only devices from where you can access content.

To watch Prime Video content on additional devices, PVME and Prime Lite customers can upgrade your membership by visiting primevideo.com/upgrade. Existing Prime members can sign up for another Prime membership on a new Amazon account.

To remove your current device/s and watch content on a new device, visit the Devices section on the Prime Video Account & Settings page. Identify the devices registered for Prime, Prime Video Mobile Edition or Prime Lite (with a blue tick), and select "Remove." You can remove up to 2 devices in a 30-day period.

If you've done all the possible troubleshooting steps but you're still having issues with this streaming service, I would recommend that you submit a support ticket directly to Amazon Prime support.
