    Hello. Recently the HDMI cable I got with my series s has stopped working as i’m sure it is broken. Luckily I have found an old HDMI cable I had lying around but is there a way where I can buy that same cable I got with the xbox?

    it's just a generic HDMI cable as long as it's a 2.1 version you will have full access to all the features. You can just buy an Amazon basic cable and it'll be fine

    I am using my Xbox one S HDMI cable it is HDMI ver 2 because I got my XBOX oNE X second-handed I don't have its original cable which is bundled with the console.

    Hi,

    You likely won't get 60fps/60Hz at 4K with your old original Xbox One cable. The original Xbox one only has an HDMI 1.4 port and it's highly likely the Microsoft supplied HDMI for the original Xbox One is bandwidth limited to the HDMI 1.4 port. This means 30Hz at 4K and you can pretty much forget about HDR.

    To get the best from the new console you'll need to use the supplied HDMI cable which is designed for HDMI 2.1 bandwidth.

    I am not using the original cord but I am using a wirelogic 4K + HDR HDMI cord. I also found that HDMI 1 on the tv does not enable 4K on the Xbox. I plugged it into HDMI 2 and it allowed me to pick 4K as an output. But for some reason doesn't allow
    4K for everything.
    Have you tried following or doing the same steps again but using the HDMI cable that came with the Xbox One S? worth a try if not.

    Third party HDMI cable's can sometimes be a hit or miss depending on the quality.
