Am I able to change either time zone or location to play a digitally pre-ordered game early

I am now switching to digital in order to be able to download early and play on day 1.

If you purchased the Digital Premium Upgrade, you must own the base game or have an active GamePass membership in your account to access early access.

If you own the Digital Premium Edition or purchased the Digital Premium Upgrade, you will be able to play Starfield between September 1st and September 6th. Badge may show “Pre-ordered” or “Coming soon” after September 1st - this is a known issue but will not affect your ability to play during the early access period.

Early access is up to 5 days; Actual game play time depends on date of purchase and is subject to possible disruptions and applicable time zone differences.

He probably pre-ordered the disc, and it came early. The digital version will be able to be playable on March 7th.

I am not sure you will be able to play it, even if you have the disk, I am in the UK, and my location is set at present to the US, and the time, which you can't change is set to UK time and date.

So I would assume even after installing the game you won't be able to play the game, but good luck to the people that can.

Digital Copy offers offers me more benefits than the disks so I have to wait for the time to tick over. Then I need the misses to let me play after midnight since I have to be up early.

Yup digital pre orders get downloaded a week or so in advance but you can't play it. Then when 12am hits eastern time on Oct 27 you can play. So if you time zone is earlier then you could be playing at 11pm October 26 if you are central time.
